Estill Co. Awarded Individual Assistance by FEMA
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded Estill County Public Assistance (PA) and Individual Assistance (IA) as of Friday May 28, 2010.
If you received any damage to your home or property from the flooding May and do not have insurance or your insurance would not cover damages you can now apply for assistance through FEMA. This does not mean that you are guaranteed help financially, but anyone with damages can apply and you may receive assistance. We encourage all residents to seek assistance who received damages.
To apply for assistance you need to contact FEMA. You can apply for assistance by phone: 1 (800) 621-FEMA (3362); for people with speech or hearing disabilities 1 (800) 462-7585 (TTY). You can also apply on FEMA’s website www.fema.gov and click on apply for assistance tab.
If you need help applying for assistance or need more information you can call the Estill County EMA/CSEPP office at 723-6533 and we will assist you the best that we can.
